Camp Metamorphosis

Camp Metamorphosis BC took place on beautiful Thetis Island from Sunday, August 25th to Friday, August 30th, 2013 under the direction of Fr. Constantinos Economos (Parish Priest, Ypapanti Greek Orthodox Community, Victoria). Once again, CAMP METAMORPHOSIS BC had a record setting year with 110 campers from the Greek Orthodox Communities in British Columbia. Another great achievement was that this year of the 27 volunteer staff in attendance, 16 are the product of BC Youth Programs which began in 2010 with Camp Met BC.

Lenten Day Camp and Winter Tubing

On Saturday, February 18, 2012, CAMP MET BC held its Lenten Day Camp at Saints Nicholas & Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in East Vancouver. A group of over 40 youth, parents and CAMP MET BC counsellors attended this wonderful event which began with a Divine Liturgy for the first Saturday of the Souls. It was followed by lunch which was sponsored by the community and then a game and discussion on Great Lent. After the discussion on Great Lent everyone got on the bus and were taken to Mount Seymour (North Vancouver) and were treated to a wonderful time tubing in the beautiful BC weather! Many thanks to Fr. Constantinos Economos and his team of CAMP MET BC counsellors for organizing this event and to Fr. Evangelos Aravantinos and the community of Saints Nicholas & Demetrios in East Vancouver for hosting the event.
